Since 2026, automation has been an integral part of Haitian International Germany. Using its own local resources and technologies from Haitian Smart Solutions and selected regional partners, Haitian implements automation projects ranging from standardised handling cells to complex turnkey systems. The first projects, including more complex automation solutions, have already been successfully completed in Germany.
The approach has a clear structure with four levels of automation: Pick-up and Placement; Pick-up and Placement+; Medium-Level Automation and High-Level Automation. Depending on the complexity of the application, Haitian combines its own engineering and integration capabilities with the specialised expertise of its partners. The aim is to deliver flexible automation solutions and quality service for cusotmers in various industries
Automation Portfolio
Standard Pick-up and Placement cells include a robot, a conveyor belt and safety guarding. This straightforward setup is ideal for automated part removal. The Pick-up and Placement+ concept builds on this with application-specific components, such as roller or multi-level conveyors, drawers, insert handling and vision systems.
Haitian currently offers ten functional modules in Europe: Part Handling, Degating, Insert Loading, Laser Processing, Vision Inspection, Wrapping, Weight Inspection, Tool Changer, Assembly and Palletising.
These modules can be combined according to production requirements, enabling automation to extend beyond part removal to inspection, secondary processing, assembly, and downstream handling. This modular approach enables processors to select the functions they need, avoiding unnecessary system complexity.
Haitian Robots at the Core
Linear robots from Haitian Smart Solutions are at the center of many solutions. Currently, two main series are available in Europe: the V Series and the XTD Series. The XTD Series features a movable Y-axis, making it ideal for handling long parts and applications with deep mold cavities.
The portfolio already includes specialized configurations for different production requirements. For example, there are high-speed versions. These options provide customers with additional flexibility when adapting handling concepts to available production spaces and application requirements.
In 2027, the portfolio will expand further with newly developed robot models offering increased speed, precision, and load capacity. Their introduction to the European market will expand the range of applications that can be covered with Haitian Smart Solutions automation.
Practical application of local engineering
A key element of Haitian’s automation strategy is developing local engineering and integration capabilities. Projects up to medium-level automation are engineered and implemented by Haitian International Germany’s teams using in-house manufactured Haitian products.
For high-level automation, in-mold labeling, and other complex turnkey projects, Haitian acts as the general contractor, combining its own expertise with the capabilities of selected regional automation partners. This allows customers to benefit from specialized technologies while maintaining one central point of contact and responsibility throughout the project.
This approach has already been proven to be successful in practice with first automation projects in Germany, including more complex integrated solutions, already completed successfully. This demonstrates how Haitian’s machine technology, local engineering capabilities, and specialized partner expertise can be combined to create production cells tailored to customers’ specific needs.
For plastics processors, this means fewer coordination interfaces, clearly defined responsibilities, and an integrated approach from the injection molding machine to the finished automation cell.
Expanding European Automation Capabilities
Now that the local automation structure is established in Germany, Haitian is focused on continuously expanding the range and complexity of solutions available to European customers. In the future, Haitian Machinery’s manufacturing capabilities in Serbia are expected to support this growth.
The direction is clear. Combine standardized automation technology with local engineering. Tap into specialized partner expertise when needed. This enables Haitian to support customers across different industries, from simple handling applications to customized production cells, while maintaining the flexibility and clear project responsibility essential for reliable automation.
